The Ventnor Exchange, located in the town’s former Post Office on Church Street, is set to open it’s doors this weekend for the first time to showcase how work is progressing in transforming the space into a new arts centre for the town.

Created by the team behind the Ventnor Fringe Festival, the new Exchange is set to combine a record store, bar and theatre showcasing a year round programme of performances.

The building will be open on Friday 10th and Saturday 11th October from 10am – 6pm with displays on future plans for the building and members of the team on site to explain more about forthcoming activities.

This weekend will also see the re-launch of the Fringe Friends scheme in two evening parties. Becoming a Fringe Friend provides an array of discounts and opportunities for a small subscription fee of £20 a year and this scheme has been a major part of the fundraising process – making the Exchange a reality.
