Help us revive and restore the old Ingrams building to host a vibrant town market, venue, studios and makers space in the heart of Ventnor.

We’re looking to bring new facilities, opportunities and energy to the town, with ambitious plans to create Ingrams Yard, a new creative and community hub. But we’re going to need your help to make it happen!

Our vision is to create a place that hosts events, makers studios, rehearsal rooms and youth space alongside a home for a new year round market in the town. All on a not for profit basis, led by the Ventnor Exchange team, ploughing all of our learning and experiences from the last decade to create the facilities we think the town needs to thrive.

Ingrams Yard will be a place where artists, craftspeople and creative start ups can test and refine their ideas. A place where you can learn new skills, with the type of messy workshop spaces we don’t currently have, along with a large rehearsal studio perfectly suited to activities like drama, dance and yoga.

It will be a place that hosts a wide programme of events, along with an outdoor market that provides a busting new public space throughout the year, and it will provide major new infrastructure for Ventnor Fringe, giving the town centre a key new venue to draw in audiences.

The building, minutes from the town centre, is in a state of considerable disrepair, but it’s a unique opportunity for a space like this to be re-purposed into something of real value to the community.

As a not for profit organisation, we don’t have any investors or shareholders, and while much of our activity is self sustaining once established, this new project will only be achieved through fundraising. This will take time for us to put together the bids for major grants so if you believe in what we’re trying to do and want to help, we’re crowdfunding to raise the initial funds we need to make the most urgent repairs, get parts of the building open and launch the market square.
