Join us for a musical morning with Steve Love’s Isle of Wight Songs’ – Steve performs a set of chirpy upbeat original songs, with foot-tappin’ rhythms and plenty of audience join-ins, about the ups, downs and quirks of our Isle of Wight life – buses, ferries, donkeys, beaches, rain, landslides, traffic lights, gin, pubs, hovercraft, fishing, coffee shops, festivals, old hippies, dogs, the Floatie, anything he can get a rhyme and a smile out of.
His songs do tease the Island a little bit, but only in the way you might rib a very dear old friend – really, he says, they are just love-songs to very own little pile of mud and rocks surrounded by the sea.
He plays folk clubs, pubs, festivals, Vectis Radio, sea front shows, arts cafes, busking, fetes, anywhere he can get coffee, cake or beer. I has four CDs of his songs currently out, was a finalist in ‘The Island Has Talent’ last year, and achieved temporary and very local fame on ‘Jewel Of The South
