Ventnor Exchange COVID-19 Statement (Mon 16th March)
The coming weeks and months are looking likely to be a very unpredictable and difficult time in the wake of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We want to keep our artists and audiences informed and update you on the current situation.
At the present time Ventnor Exchange remains open, however the Government has given “very strong advice” that theatres should close, and so from today (16th March) we are suspending all live productions until further notice. Our bar/shop will remain open unless we are asked to close.
If for any reason you feel unwell please remember to self isolate and stay at home. You can find out more about the symptoms and what to do if you start showing these by clicking here.
If the situation deteriorates and we are forced to close completely we will explore if there is any possibility of us being able to run any workshops digitally if possible.
Planning for this summer’s Ventnor Fringe Festival continues, but clearly this is under constant review and will be reassessed in a month’s time. We cannot guarantee the event will go ahead at this time. Again, in the event of cancellation all ticket holders will be refunded.
As a small business any enforced closure or cancelation of events will have an enormous effect on us. We are a small team of three people, and we ask for you patience and kindness as we deal with these circumstances as efficiently and effectively as we can. It may take us some time to resolve all of the issues that arise from this crisis.
If you would like to support us in these difficult times, please do consider becoming a Fringe Friend. It really will make a difference and help ensure our survival. You can do this by clicking here
