At last year’s Ventnor Fringe we collaborated with photographer all round insightful creative Julian Winslow and the budding photography talent of Ali Armfield on a project to document as many of the people who live and work in Ventnor as possible.
The portraits then formed part of an outdoor installation which was created on Ventnor Harbour. Digital copies of all of the images, along with individuals responses to the question “What would you like to say to someone looking at this image of you in 100 years time?” were donated to Ventnor Heritage Museum to be exhibited in the future.
In total we spoke and photographed hundreds of people, and enjoyed the project so much it’s become an ongoing collaboration as we seek to discover more about our community. Here are some new, previously unpublished, images of the project:
