Over two weeks of two hour sessions you can learn how to make a Bunraku figure puppet out of foam and wire. Bunraku puppetry originates from Japan where the puppeteers are seen on stage whilst performing. The team at Ventnor Exchange are theatre makers and especially interested in puppetry so would like to pass on some skills we’ve learnt in the last few years so that you too can create your very own animated figure!
In Part 1. we will be designing our puppets then moving on to making the skeleton of our figures with foam and wire.
To take part in any of our workshops you must be signed up to our Young Creatives scheme, it’s free and easy just click here !
